Google is going to flag your website this year!. Starting in July Google Chrome will mark all HTTP sites as not Secure. According to chrome security manager Emily Schecher say “Google is coming with every possible way to make his user to feel secure on the internet, And moving towards more secure websites by strongly advocating that websites are adopting HTTPS encryption.”

SSL Certificate

From 2015, Google has given a ranking boost to HTTPS websites & Started taking non secure website more very seriously. Now Google search began down-ranking unsecured or unencrypted sites.

Continuing on Internet Web Security, Google is planning more on HTTPS websites.

Beginning in July 2018 with the release of new update browser Chrome 68, Chrome will mark all HTTP sites as “not secure”. Chrome’s new interface will help users understand that all HTTP sites are not secure, and continue to move the web towards a secure HTTPS web by default. And will eliminate those websites that are without SSL certificate / HTTP by informing connection is not Secure.


In Simple words: Non-Secure/ without SSL certificate website will get the message “connection is not Secure” in an updated version of Google Chrome browser.

In our current traffic Scenario, 71% of internet traffic is coming through Google Chrome Browser.


Damages of not using SSL certificate in website.

- Websites may loose 75% of total traffic that’s coming through a chrome internet browser
Websites Ranking will go down in Google search result.
- IF any website on which malware is detected by Google & removed from the search engine. In that case. Google’s deceptive content warning would only be removed once an SSL certificate was activated on a website.
